Safe and Secure Boarding

At Steady Wind Farm, we offer an unmatched level of care for your dog’s’ when boarding. We welcome a limited amount of boarders to our home at a time which leaves more time to spend with each individual dog.

Here is just a few things that we have to offer your dog while your are away:

• Lots of play time and long walks on our private wooded trails, along streams and ponds, and the freedom to run in our wide open fenced in fields on our beautiful secluded 130 acre farm and hunting grounds.

• Our farm is gated, security monitored, and off limits to the public, ensuring the utmost safety for your furry loved ones.

• David Kurlander is not only a Professional Animal Behavior Specialist, but has and extensive background and knowledgeable in emergency medical care.

• We DO NOT believe in socializing your dog with other dogs they do not know. Unfortunately, this improper way of “socializing” is something that is widely practiced with other boarding facilities and by doing so, puts your dog’s’ at risk of injury and illness. We will keep dogs of the same house hold together but will never allow interactions with other dogs they don’t know. Not even our own dogs.

• We understand and respect dog trainers and their hard work, so we believe in consistency and therefor will not intervene or counteract any previous training unless we are specifically contracted by the owner to do so. Doing such things will only confuse your dog’s’ and create undesirable and often difficult to reverse behaviors.

• We understand the importance of routine and structure. you let us know your dogs routine and we will do our best to maintain it. Your dog’s’ will seamlessly fit in and feel right at home. this prevents your dog from developing bad habits that can be very difficult to reverse.

• Above and beyond all, there is always someone around our farm. So you can rest assure that your dog’s’ will be safe and attended to during their stay with us.

• We not only love communication with our clients via text messages and video phone calls, we encourage it.

At the end of the day, the most important aspect of all is that you can relax and be worry free leaving your dog’s’ with us.

They will be safe, happy and healthy until your return.

Your dog will only be motivated by the strength and safety of the pack. We offer Board & Train Programs that only focus on the ‘training’ aspects! but we do things a little differently.

Dogs from all over the country have stayed with us here on our beautiful 130 acre farm located in Central/ East Tennessee.

• We only take dogs for the purpose of Upland and Water Fowl Hunting, dogs that need basic to advance obedience training, and dogs that are being trained for a specific purpose such as therapy, tracking, protection, and so on….

• We focus each and every day on field obedience and building drive. Puppy field basics, advanced field training, pointing, flushing and retrieving in a variety of field environments. Our individually designed methods utilize the dogs natural abilities through the development of communication and structure in a choice based learning environment that will yield superior results for a lifetime of companionship.

• Our State of the art kennels are being developed but for now we have limited space in our home. Please Call or Email us for availability!

• NAVHDA testing is offered in the area. We can train and handle for you to receive your titles.
